This audio book is a very good abridgement of a thrilling novel. The reader Emilia Fox has exactly the right tone-it as is easy to visualise her as the vibrant young woman totally in control of her own destiny as it is to see her cowering behind an armchair as she hears her husband approaching. The fact that the audio version of the story is a little slow to get going is all but forgotten in its final heart-pounding portion. -Sarah Crawford Running time approx. 3 hours.
